On May 4, 2011, the first meeting of the first board of directors of China Datang Corporation (CDT) was held at the head office of CDT. Chairman Liu Shunda presided over the meeting, with the participation of directors Chen Jinhang, Xiong Hao, Wu Tianlin, Song Sizhong, Chen Geng, Zhao Fangkuan and Hu Hongfu.

The meeting marks the corporation’s work of board construction and standardization has entered the stage of substantial operation, signifies the corporation’s work of “transforming mode, adjusting structure and strengthening mechanisms” has turned to a new page, and is of milestone significance to renovating the development mode, continuing to carry forward Datang’s spirit and accelerating the organic integration of scientific development enhancement and work improvement normalization.

The meeting adopted five proposals on rule and regulation formulation, discussed two report disposals and notified some urgent issues at present. Upon nomination by the chairman, Zheng Wenyuan was appointed as the board secretary with a probationary period of a year.

Chu Zongsheng, chief of the Second Division of the First Bureau for the Administration of Corporation Executives of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council; Fang Bingxing, deputy director of the tenth dispatched office of the State Council in the board of supervisors of CDT; Cai Zhefu, member of the Party Leadership Group and vice president of CDT; Wang Xin, director of the General Manager Work Department of CDT; Wu Hongjun, director of the Human Resources Department and Xie Songling, deputy director of the General Manager Work Department of CDT made proposals.
